Whilst I was swimming in Port de Pollenca I noticed this moored boat and the beautiful light in the water beneath it. It was the first time I’d contemplated painting the beneath and above the sea in one painting and it was a challenge which probably made my future sea turtle series a little easier. The orange buoy nicely complements the wide range of blues.
